We are currently looking for an M ens knit Assistant Designer to support the development and execution of the USPA Men’s collection .

This person should be organized, proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable supporting the team wherever needed. A strong eye for color, product, and elevated commercial design is important, along with a basic understanding of the USPA aesthetic and customer.

• Maintain an organized design area, including samples, CADs, files, trims, and reference materials, so information is easy for the team to access.
\n
• Support the design team in developing product that is relevant to current market trends while staying aligned with the business strategy and USPA brand direction.
\n
• Research seasonal trends, competitive brands, color, fabric, details, and market inspiration.
\n
• Create and update Illustrator sketches, CADs, colorways, and design details.
\n
• Assist with fit comments and follow product through development to final execution.
\n
• Review incoming development and sales samples, making sure color, fabric, construction, trims, artwork, and overall execution are matching approved standards.
\n
• Prepare product for line reviews, finalization meetings, showroom presentations, and buyer meetings.
\n
• Create and update tech packs for new and carryover styles in BeProduct .
\n
• Work closely with merchandising, production, technical design, and product development teams to ensure samples are accurate and production-ready.
\n
• Follow up on open design issues and help keep development on schedule.
\n
• Be willing to support the team as priorities shift in a fast-paced environment.

• Minimum 1+ years of apparel design experience .
\n
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop .
\n
• Strong sketching, CAD, research, and product development skills.
\n
• Strong sense of color, proportion, detail, and taste level .
\n
• Good understanding of current menswear trends and the commercial marketplace.
\n
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time.
\n
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change.
\n
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
\n
• Positive team player who communicates well with multiple departments.
\n
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependable attendance.
\n
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technology.
\n
