Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Collector / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing customer accounts, reducing aged receivables, resolving payment issues, and partnering with internal teams to support cash flow objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong collections experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and hands-on experience with NetSuite .
Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and perform collection activities on past-due balances.
• Contact customers via email to resolve outstanding invoices and payment disputes.
• Research discrepancies and collaborate with accounting, customer service, and sales teams to facilitate resolution.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Apply cash receipts and reconcile customer account balances when needed.
• Review and understand GL coding and accounting transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Prepare collection status reports and provide updates to management.
• Maintain accurate customer records and collection notes within NetSuite.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to receivables.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of collections and accounts receivable experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger (GL) codes , debits/credits, and accounting processes.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP .
• Experience working with aging reports, account reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume B2B collections environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
