Job Description Now Hiring: Accounts Receivable Collector
Location: Northwest Houston, TX - Jersey Village Area
Pay: $20.00-$24.00/hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Work Setting: 100% On-Site - No Remote or Hybrid Option

Hire Up Staffing Services is partnering with an established company in the
Northwest Houston/Jersey Village area to hire an experienced
Accounts Receivable Collector to join their team.
This is a
temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who is dependable, motivated, and looking for a long-term position. Because this role is
100% on-site every day , candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Jersey Village/Northwest Houston area.
What You'll Do
- Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and monitor past-due balances
- Make outbound collection calls to customers in English and Spanish
- Follow up on outstanding balances, promised payments, and payment arrangements
- Investigate billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account delinquencies
- Work directly with customers to resolve account questions and secure payment
- Collaborate with sales, operations, stores, and other internal departments to resolve account issues
- Monitor past-due and over-credit-limit accounts and take appropriate collection action
- Process and document customer payments as needed
- Maintain detailed account notes, collection records, payment arrangements, and follow-up activity
- Escalate complex or high-risk accounts when appropriate
- Maintain a professional, customer-service-focused approach throughout the collection process
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or a related financial/customer account role
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Experience handling customer balances, delinquent accounts, payment arrangements, and/or credit terms preferred
- High-volume AR or collections experience is a plus
- Strong phone communication and customer service skills
- Excellent follow-up and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines while staying organized
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research account discrepancies
- Comfortable documenting collection activity and maintaining detailed account records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn accounting/ERP systems
- Dependable and interested in a long-term opportunity
Important Location Requirement
This position is
100% on-site, Monday through Friday, in Northwest Houston near the Jersey Village area. There is no hybrid or remote option. Candidates should consider their daily commute before applying.
